The traditional recipes of the grandmothers continue to triumph in families, their knowledge of infant feeding continues to be valid and that is why we prepare them for our children. One of them is the recipe for squid in American sauce.
Recipes for children should be healthy and attractive. That is why this squid dish can be a good option for children who do not like fish, and thus can take advantage of its nutritional properties.
- 1 kg. squid
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 400 gr. fried tomato
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 200 ml. fish broth
- 1 chilli
1. Clean the squid well, discard the inside and cut them into rings or strips, depending on the taste and size of the squid.
2. Put oil in a frying pan, chop the onion and garlic well and fry them over medium heat. When it is poached, add the squid, the fried tomato, the fish stock and the brandy.
3. Cook everything over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until the squid are tender and the sauce thickens. When there are five minutes left, add the chilli (it can be removed later).
4. When the sauce has the right texture, remove the chilli and serve. They can be accompanied by boiled rice, hot or even cold.
